  • The district’s most requested “School of Choice”.
  • 15 students worked each week as Credit Union employees.  MacArthur students and parents deposited more than $20,000 in the Michigan First Credit Union during the  school year.
  • MacArthur welcomed therapy dog "Red" to the MacArthur family. 
  • A Calming Space was created for teachers that includes massage chairs. 
  • MacArthur Academics Games won the State Championship Games
  • 40 students attended and competed in the Bridge Building Competition in Lansing, Michigan.
  • MacArthur 5th grade students received 1st and 3rd place for the Annual NAACP Art/ Essay contest.  
  • Approximately 40 MacArthur students are involved in the MacScholars Program.
  • Each MacArthur teacher has a Chrome cart accessible for students to use in the classrooms.
  • MacArthur staff continued it’s very successful “Instructional Learning Lunch” program where students in grades K-8 can receive additional assistance from  the teacher in the areas of Reading, Math, Science or Social Studies during the student's lunch time
  • Approximately 70 % of the MacArthur students in grades 3-8 were on the Honor Roll.
  • 6 MacArthur students were selected to be a part of the 2017-2018 School Improvement team and met regularly with the team to discuss ways to improve our practice.
  • For the 2nd year MacArthur Student Council partnered with Kennedy's Toys by donating toys to children in hospitals for the holiday season. 
  • 60 Middle School students participated in a program at three College campuses: University of Michigan and Oakland Community College.
  • 100 Middle School students attend a visit to the Michigan Carpenters Union. 
  • We had over 85 percent parent participation in our Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences, in November, 2023.
  • Parents Participation was over 80 percent in an effort to support the following activities: OktoberFest, Technology Night, Title One Meetings, Scholastic Book Fair, Field Trip’s,  Honor’s Assembly’s, Holiday and Band Programs, Basketball, Volleyball and Track and Battle of the Books.
